Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-12. [CONFIRM: have this reviewed before launch]
AIR Web Design (“AIR”, “I”, “me”) is a sole proprietorship based in Cobourg, Ontario, run by Arlo. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What I collect
- Forms. When you request a free preview or send a message: your name, business name, email, phone (optional), current website (optional), town and your message.
- Booking a call. When you book a Zoom call: your name, email and the time you choose, plus anything you add to the booking.
- Website analytics. Anonymous, cookie-free page statistics such as page views and referring sites. No personal profile is built and no advertising cookies are used.
Why I collect it
Only to reply to you, prepare your free preview, run our call and, if you become a client, deliver the work. I don't sell or rent personal information, and I don't add you to a mailing list. Sending an enquiry lets me reply about that enquiry. I'll ask separately before sending anything else.
Services that process it for me
- Web3Forms delivers form submissions to my email.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and provides cookie-free analytics.
- Cal.com and Zoom handle call booking and video calls. [CONFIRM tools]
Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States. They're only used for the purposes above.
AI receptionist calls
The AIR receptionist (on a demo line, or for a client's business) tells every caller at the start that they're speaking with an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded or transcribed. The details a caller gives, such as name, number and reason for calling, are used to book or pass on the request. For client lines, the client business is responsible for that information and its own privacy notice. [CONFIRM: receptionist provider and retention period]
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't become projects are deleted within [12 months]. Client records are kept as long as needed for the work and for tax purposes.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you at any time. Email [email] and I'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
